This was one of the most unique weddings I have been to so far and in the lead for best because I got to wear my Eeyore onesie the entire time! C & M got married at the Lairmont Manor in Bellingham, WA. All the guests were asked to wear costumes, and most followed the dress code.
We started out taking portraits of M as she put the final touches on her outfit. In the large ballroom with huge floor to ceiling windows, we turned on the smoke machine and took some moody portraits.
Then C & M did their first look and read their vows in private under the gazebo. Afterwards we snuck off to the back of the Lairmont Manor to utilize the woods for couple portraits.
For C & M’s ceremony, they had their bridal party walk down the aisle together. Then they had a close friend in a cyclist costume skip down the aisle to “Candy Man” throwing candy into the crowd of guests. To top it off, M put on a large pair of white wings and walked down with her father.
After the ceremony the entire bridal party went into a private room to sign their marriage certificate.
Once C & M finished dinner, we snuck off to the closed, overgrown pool with smoke bombs. It was fun for them to have a few minutes together to get photos that they really wanted and soak in the day.
When the sun was gone, we went inside to join their friends and family. C & M cut their cake and then glided onto the dance floor for their first dance. They followed up their first dance with a father daughter and mother son dance. Once the formal dances were over, the DJ turned on pop music and the floor filled with guests dancing.
